Visitors enter a stylised tent, recreating the atmosphere of an archaeological dig from the turn of the 20th century. Free-standing theme islands, based on the rock formations on Elephantine, represent different aspects of everyday life including religion, law, medicine, family and trade. A timeline provides a striking backdrop, spanning the entire length of the James Simon Galerie. In partnership with the curatorial team at the Hamburger Bahnhof and beier+wellach projekte, we developed a permanent exhibition to encourage visitors to delve deeper into the museum’s past, ask questions and consider the role of the museum today and in the future.&nbsp;The spatial planning of the Forum breaks up the regular four-chambered layout of the rooms in which it is situated, creating dynamic angles that invite you to enter deeper into the space. Wherever you look, you are faced with different perspectives, reflecting the different aspects of the museum and its story. The exhibition celebrated 70 years of of record art and sound works by artists. A visual catalog of hundreds of records was exhibited along with numerous other installations across various media. The exhibition was enhanced by the creation of specially-designed listening stations to allow visitors to listen to a selection of albums more in depth as well as a learning and event space for and executed a new exhibition for the Industriemuseum Nordwolle in Delmenhorst, Germany. The aim of the exhibition was to tell the story of the region’s history as a centre for the wool and textile industry in Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries. A key component of the concept is the transmission axle that runs through the exhibition, referencing the central transmission that powered the looms when the space was an actual factory, producing wool-based products for Germany and abroad. Specially-designed table modules allow flexible display areas for objects and invite the visitor to explore. These elements are supported by wall-mounted graphic panels recounting the story of the local wool industry through text, images, videos and artefacts.&nbsp; <img width="2400" height="1607" Superconscious in collaboration with creative director Christoph Büllen (studio-spatial.com).The store was designed from the ground-up and our aim was to create a visually arresting space that would stand out on Berlin’s fashionable Torstrasse.&nbsp; Crisp, minimalist fixtures were created to give a modern, space-age aesthetic, with splashes of bright colour to add a touch of liveliness. The smooth, matte surfaces of the furnishings are contrasted with elements in raw timber, sandblasted steel mesh and shag carpet to add tactility and texture. The result is a unique store with a distinct personalty that provides an effective showcase for the carefully-curated selection of shoes, clothing and accessories available at Superconscious.&nbsp; for garment industry, showcasing the latest in production technology and trends across a variety of sectors.Together with Exalis we developed the Denim Future Factory for the 2021 edition. This included a central “factory” space showcasing key denim technolgy processes using playful installations and including a space for seminars and demonstrations by participating industry partners. The factory was flanked by modular exhibitor spaces. These structures floated in a sea of blue to emphasise the denim theme and make the space stand out amongst the myriad of different stands spread across the Messe Frankfurt exhibition spaces. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic the 2021 edition of Texprocess was cancelled and this spectacular concept was unable to be realised. The annually-held event is organised and held at Messe Frankfurt, showcasing the latest in technology and trends.Mission Runway was developed with Berlin-based agency Exalis for the 2021 edition, in tandem with the Denim Future Factory exhibition for Techprocess 2021. An imposing hanging structure with a layered textile exterior housed a tech-forward runway stage for catwalk shows and presentations. Next to the main event space, the futuristic Trend Factory showcased emerging technologies and materials.As with the Denim Future Factory concept, Mission Runway was also unable to be realised due to the cancellation of Techtextil 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
